Divining Rods: Trusting Your Intuition & Connecting with Divine Guidance

angel divining rods guidance Oct 07, 2026

Have you ever wondered how divining rods work, what they can be used for, or how an intuitive tool can help you better understand the energy around you?

In this conversation on Divine Dialogues: Intuitives Unveiled, we — Tracey and Rhonda — explore Divine Rods, where they came from, how we use them, and why we believe intuitive tools are meant to support your connection rather than replace your own intuition.

As always, our conversation comes back to something we talk about often: trusting yourself and learning to recognize your own divine guidance.

How Tracey’s Divine Rods Began

The story of the Divine Rods started with a simple request.

Tracey’s cousin, a former vice principal, was teaching a lightworker class and wanted a hands-on way to demonstrate positive and negative energy. She asked Tracey’s husband if he could make a set of divining rods for the class.

That simple idea grew from there.

As Tracey began working with the rods, she discovered they could be used in many different ways. She began calling them Divine Rods and describes them as being a little like a “pendulum on steroids.”

When preparing and working with her Divine Rods, Tracey brings Archangel Michael into the process. For her, this is an important part of creating a protected and intentional connection while working with energy and her divine team.

What Can Divine Rods Be Used For?

One of the things we discussed during the episode is just how versatile divining rods can be.

Tracey uses Divine Rods for asking specific yes-or-no questions, recognizing positive and negative energy, energy clearing, house clearings and even finding lost objects.

They can also be incorporated into intuitive and mediumship work.

What makes the rods especially interesting is their movement. Sometimes we can feel or know something intuitively, but we don't necessarily have a physical way of showing someone else what we are sensing.

Divine Rods can make that experience a little more visual.

Rhonda's Experience Using Divine Rods in Mediumship

Rhonda shared how she has incorporated Divine Rods into her mediumship readings, particularly when recognizing where the energy of a loved one is presenting.

During a reading, a loved one may present in a particular location around the person receiving the reading. Rhonda has found that the rods can respond to that energy and help visually demonstrate where she is sensing the connection.

For Rhonda, it is another way to work alongside the intuitive information she is already receiving.

This led us into an important part of our conversation: the rods aren't creating your intuitive connection.

They are simply another tool you can choose to use with it.

Your Intuition Comes First

Whether we are talking about Divine Rods, pendulums, oracle cards or other intuitive tools, we both believe the tool should never become more important than your own intuition.

You already have intuition.

Sometimes a physical tool can simply help you recognize and trust what you are already feeling, seeing, hearing or knowing.

That's one of the reasons we enjoy talking about different intuitive tools on Divine Dialogues. There isn't one right way that everyone has to connect.

What works beautifully for one person may not feel right for someone else.

And that's okay.

Part of developing your intuition is discovering what works for you.

Asking the Right Questions

Tracey also talked about the importance of being specific when using Divine Rods or any other tool for yes-or-no questions.

How you ask the question matters.

If your question is unclear, it can be much harder to understand the response. Instead, slow down, think about what you are really asking and be as specific as possible.

We also talked about respecting free will.

Intuitive tools aren't meant to give us unlimited access to another person's path, choices or private information. When asking for guidance, bring the focus back to yourself and what you need to know for your own journey.

Instead of asking what someone else is going to do, you might ask:

What do I need to understand about this situation?

What is for my greater good?

What can I do to move forward?

That small change can bring the focus back to your own choices and intuition.

Divine Rods Are a Tool — Not the Answer

One of the biggest messages we wanted to share in this episode is that you don't need Divine Rods — or any particular tool — to be intuitive.

Tools can be fun. They can help us learn. They can give us something physical to work with when exploring energy and divine guidance.

But they don't replace you.

At the end of our conversation, Tracey pulled a card for the collective, and its message brought everything together beautifully:

Trust yourself and follow your heart.

That message wasn't about whether you should buy Divine Rods, cards, a pendulum or anything else.

It was about learning to check in with yourself.

Before making a purchase, making a decision or choosing your next step, ask yourself how it feels.

Does it feel right for you?

Does your heart feel drawn toward it?

Or are you doing it because you think you are supposed to?

The more you learn to recognize those little intuitive nudges, the more confident you can become in your own connection.

Divine Rods are simply one of the many tools we can explore along the way.

Because at the end of the day, the real connection isn't in the rods — it is within you.
